9-11A

Jesus Time Day 3/4 of Creation- 1. God made it.  2. It was Good.

Day 3/4
God was busy. He made puddles, rivers, oceans and waterfalls. He made dry ground too. Next He made trees, flowers and bushes. God said His work was good. On the 4th day God placed the sun, moon and stars in the sky. All that He made was good.

Hopefully your child will be able to discuss parts of this story with you. I hope this edited version will aid in that discussion.

The children used crayons, markers or colored pencils to color Day 3/4 in their booklet.

Color- The color for Sept. is Red. Activities available for exploration: sorting red and blue disc to matching containers, finding red apples in the classroom, painting with red paint and finding red items in the bag.

Shape- The color for the month of Sept. is Octagon. Activities included learning characteristics of an octagon, tracing a template of an octagon, and attaching a small octagon to a large octagon.

Number- This month the number is 2.  Activities to foster learning this week are; holding up 2 fingers, counting to 2, stamping #2, and placing 2 apples on the number 2 page.

Fine Motor- learning to use crayons, markers, colored pencils, glue and picking up small items with our thumb and forefinger

Large Motor- running, jumping skipping, hopping, riding on scooters and in coupes, hopping on balls and walking on a balance beam

Music- ABC song Spaghetti Sauce is Red, It's an Octagon, God Created

Literacy Skills- These activities centered on using our words to describe or share an event/activity with classmates. Students also enjoyed books on their own and loved having stories read to them.

We explored many new concepts today. Take a peek and find out what we did.

Fun creating with red play doh.

Time for toys.

Down the slide I go.

W share toys.

We take turns.

These are the paint brushes we used for the "My Red Painting" worksheet.

On/Off- The frog is on the line and the rabbit is off the line.

I am learning to trace an octagon.

We can paint RED!

It is fun to sort colored circles.

We stamp #2 on our paper.

We compared church to Jesus Time.

This is the Creation story. We review it daily and sing the song "God Created".

This is snack time. The children play ALOT and therefore they are very hungry at snack/lunch. So be sure to send enough food.

The class enjoyed listening to this story.

The child asked God to bless all the special items in his room.

I like to set time aside each day to read at least 1 book to every child.

Weather frog was dressed for a cool cloudy day.

Here we go Looby Lou.

We practiced placing 1 small octagon on a large octagon.

There's an animal in the barn. This is an interactive book. I sang a song and the boys and girls guessed the animal that needed to be placed in the barn for the night based on the animal sound that I made.

It was just to wet on the playground, so we enjoyed time in the Commons.

We used our words to compare and contrast this poster depicting a PDO classroom to our classroom.

We did the same thing with a picture showing an art center and another one that displayed lunch time at school.

Tunnels... lots of FUN

Big balls to bounce on are lots of fun if you can hang on.
