8-28A

We had a great day at play in RM A. Play IS our work. The boys and girls are beginning to bond. They are learning to wait for their turn. They are sharing. These children are loving and kind. I am blessed to be their teacher and Zion School is enriched by their presence. Each day these children are becoming more curious about their school environment. They are expressing much love for Jesus. Many are beginning to form friendships with their PDO friends, with me and the classroom aides: Mrs Burke, Mrs. Koenig, and Mrs. McBroom.

This is how we played and interacted with each other.

We love to work puzzles.

Boys and their toys

This is the first page of our Bible verse booklet, REJOICE.

This boy is adding the musical notes. We can rejoice through song.

We give THANKS to God through prayer.

We are getting good at tracing a square.

Peek-a-Boo

I am not sure if I want to color the Bible verse sheet. She did and I might add with a happy face.

Strollers are fun to push.

Now this is one happy boy!

She is using an applicator to paint blue squares.

The class stamped 1 whale and #1's around the page.

These are the books I read to the class.

We love to sing and dance to Ring around the Rosie.

This is one of our favorite action songs, Sticky, Sticky, Sticky Bubble Gum.

Weather frog said it was another Hot and Sunny day. Mr. frog tells us how to dress for the weather.

Five mins. outside isn't a lot of time, so we make the most of it, then headed to the Commons.

It's much cooler here. We used hula hoops,  bouncing balls, beach balls, tunnels and pop up tents today.

This is a picture of us using our large muscles to act out the story Shake a Leg.

Play doh is certainly one of our favorite activities.

We used our imagination and our creativity to make our master pieces.

This is the book I used  for large motor development, depicted in a previous picture.

The class can toss blue square bean bags in a blue bucket.

Blessings!

8-27A

Today the students played well together. The children took turns and shared toys. They are beginning to settle into the PDO routine. We learned of our Savior's love for us. All the others activities centered around our concepts for the month of August: #1, color blue, shape square, and preposition on/off. In addition the class had the opportunity to sing songs, enjoy books and develop gross and fine motor skills.

Enjoy our day through these pictures!

We started the day working puzzles.

Play time

The class colored a picture of Jesus and the children.

We learned the school Bible verse for the 2014-15 school year and colored this sheet about the verse. This sheet of paper can be folded into a booklet.

The boys and girls had the opportunity to trace around a square, using blue markers. They did quite well.

The Bible verse booklet.

The children painted a blue number 1 using their index finger.

The class stamped blue squares using a sponge applicator.

We enjoyed painting Cookie Monster BLUE!

This is the start of Jesus Time. The children certainly know their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Snack Time

We enjoyed looking at books. Today I read 2 books to the class: 5 Green and Speckled Frogs and My Daddy and Me.

Recess

Recess continued in the Commons due to the heat.

The boys and girls took turns tossing blue square bean bags  into a big blue bucket.
