1-31

What a great day to end the month of January. The children enjoyed playing outside with Room B. The class learned more about the season of winter. We sang and danced to some winter songs. A video about Snow Owls was very interesting. They listened to a book about winter. On Thurs. and Fri. we will act out parts of the story. For example, skiing, throwing snow balls and making snow angels in the snow. Finally, we will do some experiments and make some predictions about snow and ice melting. The children had opportunities to work seasonal folder games, play with the toys and draw on the easel, With Feb. just around the corner, the boys and girls painted a ground hog. Tomorrow and Fri. we will learn more about this animal through books and videos. The girls and boys enjoyed playing with play doh and cutting in the sensory table. Colored pencils were used to color the Bible story. Classmates took turns attaching 5 clothes pins to the #5 card. With each passing day this task has become easier. Two games were available for play Candy Land and Pooh Bear's memory card game. Tomorrow we will enjoy playing a pizza game. Friday will be the last day to turn in the Jan. take home project, and bring in or email baptismal pictures.

Jesus called 12 disciples in our Bible story today. In time the children will learn much info about these men, how they "helped" Jesus Many important lessons were learned as these men followed Jesus. The children are eager at this age to learn all they can about this man Jesus. During the story the girls and boys learned that Jesus has called us to tell others too. It doesn't matter what we look like, young or old, girl or boy Jesus wants us to learn about him, follow and tell others that He died for our sins. One will we be able to leave in heaven forever.
