The children were offered many centers. These centers were designed to help them grow physically and mentally.

Play doh develops fine motor skills. It also builds creativity. When building a snowman or a structure basic science and math principle are learned and applied. Sharing the doh and tools develops cooperation and patience.

Books = sharing, taking turns, creativity and expands knowledge of their world.

The coloring page reinforces the Bible story. Children often retell the story while they are coloring; they are sharing God's word. This in turn teaches them about sequence of evens

We heard many stories about snow and what children like to do in the snow as they were stamping. It reinforce/teaches color names. Students feel successful and proud of their art because art rules for this project were very simple.

Working together and taking turns took place as the children built a winter scene on the magnetic board.

Star matching works on color recognition and shape identification. What are the physical properities of a star.

The sense of sight, smell amd touch were used to explore the 3 gifrts that the wise men brought to Jesus.

Lotion play was another center offered today. We talked about why we use lotion, used words to describe the how it felt and learned to respect the space of others.

Using shaving cream and black paint - the class mixed the 2 and came to the conclusion that white and black made a new color - gray.

Book of the day featured rhyming words and prepositions.

Jesus is true man and God. This book shows Jesus in his human form, sinless, but just like us with feelings, responsibilites and the ability to learn and grow mentally and physically.
