3-29
NO SCHOOL TOMORROW FRIDAY. NO SCHOOL NEXT WEEK, EASTER BREAK. SCHOOL RESUMES ON MONDAY 4-9.

We continued our journey to the cross on this Thursday of Holy Week.

THIS IS HOLY WEEK. The children and I have been journeying to the cross. Along the way,  we reviewed the stories of Holy Week. The stories reviewed : Jesus entering Jerusalem (Palm Sunday),  and The Last Supper/Passover Meal ( institution of Communion, Washing of Feet and Judas' betrayal). Jesus instituted Holy Communion, taught us how to serve love others and how to act when others betray us.  On Tues/Wed we entered the Garden and learned about Jesus praying in the Garden and how He taught us to pray. We discussed how 3 disciples continually fell asleep even though Jesus asked them to stay awake and pray with him. Finally, we reviewed how Judas betrayed Jesus/informed the guards about Jesus' whereabouts. - a kiss. Today, we looked at how the people treated our Savior, the pain he bore and his death on the cross. The class learned why we call Friday,  Good Friday. Our children's Bible and Bible story videos helped us learn how much Jesus loves us. The children learned that Jesus' body was put in a tomb/grave; staying there until the His resurrection on Sunday, Easter. While today was sad the class knows there is hope. They also know that Jesus took our sins to the cross and because Christ did this, we will live forever in heaven when we die.

Blessings on you Easter Celebration - Safe travels. I look forward to seeing everyone after the Easter Break.

Our songs this week:

DO YOU KNOW

Do you know who died for me
Jesus did, Jesus did.
Lovingly he did for me
Yes he really did.

OH YOU CAN"T KEEP JESUS LOVE IN A BOX
Oh you can't keep Jesus' love in a box
love in a box
love in a box
Oh you can't keep Jesus' love in a box
'Cause His love will come a bubblin' through
Oh you can't keep Jesus' love in a jar
Love in a jar
Love in a jar
Oh you can't keep Jesus' love in a jar
'Cause His love will come a bubblin' through
Oh you can't keep Jesus shut in the grave
Shut in the grave
Shut in the grave
Oh you can't keep Jesus shut in the grave
'Cause His love will come a bubblin ' through

So I'll just keep Jesus' love in my heart
love in my heart
love in my heart
So I'll just keep Jesus' love in my heart
'Cause His love will come a bubblin' through

Rain prohibited us from walking over to church to see the set-up for the Living Last Supper. This is our Maundy Thursday service. I would love to have you and your family join us at 3:30pm or at 7pm. Perhaps, I will see some of you at 7pm service. The children will relate to the actors, the choirs/musicians will inspire, and of course passages from the Bible will be read.

In Feb. I left the room in order to be a guest reader in Mrs. Mudd's class. Apparently the children remembered this. Mrs. Mudd has documentation pics outside her class room and nearly every day one of my friends points out the pic. Just thought I'd share. How smart of the class to remember; especially since I was gone a WHOLE 15mins.
