No blog yesterday due to my absence. I have a sinus infection. We are critically low on baby wipes, paper towel and some what on Clorox wipes. We have 1 package left of baby wipes which are used for bottoms but also for faces and sometimes hands. Right before Christmas break we asked for families to send in the second round of supplies. This was the 1st year we broke the supply list into semesters, due to spaces. We know that some families brought in the supplies but not all families did. If you didn't please bring in the supplies ASAP. If you did bring in these items but have the means to make a contribution please do so. We need these by Friday.

Our day.

Purple play doh. Purple is the color for the month. Play doh is a good way for children to express themselves creatively. It is so forgiving too. If a child doesn't like the end product they can squish it and restart. It is soothing and develops fine motor skills.

Balloon popping = hand eye coordination and gross motor development; not mention FUN!
ABC kid TV. The children love learning the letters. Many comment that their name starts with a certain letter.

Circus train. New toy to the room.
Hopefully, you can see more peer interactions as the year has progressed and the dramatic play is more detailed. Conversations have increased.

This is children role playing a dog; pet care. Our imaginations are soaring.

The Bible story talks about Jesus entering Jerusalem riding on a donkey. The people the people thought Jesus was their earthly king. We know that he is more, he is our heavenly king, our savior. We stamped green palm branches.
This process develops hand-eye coordination and works on our spatial awareness, as the class puts palms in a pleasing way on their paper.
Sorting shapes = pre math skills = shape recognition.
Art at the easel drawings are beginning to look like an actual picture.
 Do a dot ABC book.

Environmental print. The children picked out print they recognized and added some of their own. This is the beginning of reading skills.

Using dry erase markers the boys and girls took turns tracing line segments.
Folder game color recognition.

The class colored a leprechaun.
 Learning our numbers 1-10.
 Jesus Time

 The Bible story.

Recess in the Commons.

Mini tramp.

Our parade.

Sing hosanna, sing hosanna
Sing hosanna to the King of Kings
Sing hosanna, sing hosanna
Sing hosanna to the King of Kings

 All glory, laud, and honour
To Thee, Redeemer, King,
To whom the lips of children
Made sweet hosannas ring.

St. Patrick's day magnetic board display.
The Bible story.
 Shamrock match by design.
