3-28

We continued our journey to the cross on this Wednesday of Holy Week.

THIS IS HOLY WEEK. The children and I have been journeying to the cross. Along the way,  we reviewed the stories of Holy Week. The stories reviewed : Jesus entering Jerusalem (Palm Sunday),  and The Last Supper/Passover Meal ( institution of Communion, Washing of Feet and Judas' betrayal).  Tues. we entered the Garden and learned about Jesus praying in the Garden and how he taught us to pray. We discussed how 3 disciples continually fell asleep even though Jesus asked them to stay awake and pray with him. Finally, we reviewed how Judas betrayed Jesus/informed the guards about Jesus' whereabouts. - a kiss. Today, we looked at how the people treated our Savior, the pain he bore and his death on the cross. The class learned why we call Friday,  Good Friday. Our children's Bible and Bible story videos helped us learn how much Jesus loves us.

Our song this week:

DO YOU KNOW
Do you know who died for me
Jesus did, Jesus did.
Lovingly he did for me
Yes he really did.
