 9-21
This week we are learning about Noah. The children were able to play with arks, a work bench and tools during free choice time. We made a red collage. The children took turns placing letters in the pot by inserting them in a slot. We stamped 2 snails and counted to 2. The boys and girls worked puzzles, finished coloring in their Red booklet, created red apples for our apple tree, sorted red/blue sticks and red/blue bears. The children heard the story of Noah during Jesus time. They learned that God keeps them safe and helps them do BIG things. We played outside. Many children enjoyed the Bubble machine. Boys and girls had time to enjoy books. I read a book to each child. They got to choose the book. Story time also included 2 books that were read to the entire class. We danced, marched and sang songs. The children enjoyed dancing with streamers too. The students used crayons to color a picture of Noah. The class took turns using a dauber to place red dots inside each circle, inside the octagon. We finger painted with rad paint. The children practiced tearing paper in the sensory table. They also tried their hand at hammering tees into Styrofoam blocks. Please check out our lobby art and hallway art.
