5-18 Pentecost-Birth of the Christian Church

Luke 24:33-49
One night Jesus appeared in a room where many of His friends were gathered. He told them to tell their family, friends, neighbors and even strangers that He is alive. He told them to share everything He had taught them. They were to tell the people in Jerusalem first, but then they were to tell people everywhere. Jesus told them to wait in Jerusalem until God sent them a special gift of power from heaven.

Dear God
Thank you for the gift of the church and your Holy Spirit. Help us to be filled with your power.
Amen.

The children will learn:

Pentecost was the birth of the Christian church.
God wants us to tell others The Good News.

Picture for your viewing pleasure.

Squishy butterfies.

Applying the paint.

Then the fold over and squish.

We attempted to snap, zip, button and lace today.

We painted tongues of fire on the dove.

This must have be a very enjoyable book.

We used marker to color diamonds.

We also counted to 10 and then colored a number 10.

The children made caterpillars out of egg cartons.

We are learning about butterflies.

Our Jesus board, Pentecost.

Weather Frog.

Recess.

We picked clovers.

Wow, the mint has really grown!

We made Pentecost head bands.

The Bible story.
