The Ascension of Jesus
adapted from Acts 1:1-10 and Luke 24:50-5

High on a mountaintop, we disciples are with Jesus. And Jesus says..."Everywhere you go, tell everyone you see all about ME!" Then Jesus goes up, up high into the sky-all the way up to heaven...all the way up to God. But don't be sad. Someday Jesus will come back-Oh yes! He will! He will come back in the sky, and you and I will see Him- OH YES! WE WILL!

Key points for PDO:
1. Jesus" work on earth was finished.
2. Jesus went to heaven to prepare it for us
3. Jesus will come back and take us to heaven.

    To shine for him each day;
In ev'ry way try to please him,
At home, at school, at play.
  2. 2. Jesus wants me to be loving
And kind to all I see,
    Showing how pleasant and happy
    His little one can be.
  3. Chorus
    A sunbeam, a sunbeam,
Jesus wants me for a sunbeam.
    A sunbeam, a sunbeam,
I'll be a sunbeam for him
This is the Day

This is the day that the Lord has made
I will rejoice and be glad in it
This is the day, this is the day
That the Lord has made

This Little Light of Mine

This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine
This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine
This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.

Won't let Satan blow it out, I'm gonna let it shine
Won't let Satan blow it out, I'm gonna let it shine
Won't let Satan blow it out, I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.

Hide it under a bushel, no! I'm gonna let it shine
Hide it under a bushel, no! I'm gonna let it shine
Hide it under a bushel, no! I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.

We finished with, All around the neighborhood, I'm gonna let it shine.
This is to remind us to tell others about Jesus.

Wednesday Pictures.

We tried to beat the rain; we headed outside first thing.

There was a slight mist, but we enjoyed ourselves.

We played with our favorite toys. We also got to use chalk.

This was our first time using bubbles, this spring.

Then it was inside for puzzles.

Toys, toys, toys.

We matched butterflies.

We enjoyed books.

We planted grass seeds.

We traced a diamond.

We made things out of play doh. Ask your child what they made.

With Mrs. Burke's help, we traced our first name.

We sprinkled glitter on the letters of our first name.

We used crayons to color the Bible story.

We practiced our numbers on the magnetic board.

The Bible story.

Quiet time with a book.

The class "read" these books to me.

The Bible story.

LOOK at OUR WONDERFUL LINE!!!!!

Due to heavier rain, recess was in the Commons.

In small groups, we matched "cookies."

WE made rainbows.

We finished our letter books.

I read this book to the class.

It tells of God's love for us.

We enjoyed time together with our friends.
