Jesus Prays for Help
Matt. 26:36, Mark 14:32, Luke 22:39

After dinner Jesus and his followers went to a quiet garden. Jesus prayed for strength. He took Peter, James, and John with him. They were three of his closest friends. Jesus asked them to pray. He went further into the garden to pray by himself. It was late and the three men were tired. They fell asleep. Jesus woke them twice, but they went back to sleep each time.

The lesson focused on these points.
1. Jesus prayed and God listened.
2. We should pray, and God will listen to us.
3. He always answers our prayers with yes, no, or sometime we need to wait until we receive an answer to our prayer.

Song:
Jesus Taught Us How to Pray
To the tune of "Jesus Loves Me.

Jesus taught us how to pray,
to God our Father everyday;
Morning, noon, and night-time, too,
we can pray and so can you.
Yes, we can pray!  Yes, we can pray!
Yes, we can pray; to God through-out the day.

Today's activities:

Bible sheet-coloring sleeping disciples
Sensory Table-using hole punchers

Play doh-creativity in the making

The disciples slept while Jesus prayed in the garden.

We added sleeping eyes to the disciples then completed the sheet using crayons.

Let's play with the toys.

Tape resistant art-3 crosses.

We placed masking tape on brown contruction paper. Three crosses were made.

Then we used a large brush to apply blue paint on the brown construction paper.

We painted the top half blue, covering the tape.

When the paint is dry, it will be removed and brown crosses will be revealed. The art work will be displayed Tuesday in our hallway.

Books that were read to the class.

Thank you God for our Moms.

With our friends, we enjoyed looking at new books.

Recess in the Commons.

Last day for the sensory table.

We are making an Easter number book.

We looked through magazines to find things that are yellow. We cut them out and glued the pictures on a small piece of paper.

That concludes the week. Blessing on the weekend and Palm sunday worship.
