The last Supper
Matthew 26

Judas,  one of the 12 disciples was very greedy for money. He told the chief priests where to find and arrest Jesus. Judas was paid 30 pieces of silver for betraying Jesus. He was no longer a friend of Jesus. He was an enemy.

Jesus found a quiet upper room, and used it for his last supper. Disciples shared the wine and broke the bread, "Remember me like this," their Master said. For Jesus knew he'd have to leave his friends, to fix a feast above that would never end.

We discussed Holy Communion at Zion. Several of the classmates smiled when I spoke about Pastors
or Elders touching them on the head and blessing them as they kneeled with their parents at the Communion Rail.

Key Points for PDO:

Jesus had a Last Supper with His disciples.
He asked the disciples to remember Him.
By washing His disciples feet, Jesus demonstrated how we should love one another.

Prayer:
Dear God,
Help me to remember you every day.
Amen.

Song:

Try to sing this song to the tune of “Mary had a little lamb.”

Jesus is God’s special Son,
Special Son, special Son,
Jesus is God’s special Son,
He ate a special meal.

He served His friends bread and juice,
bread and juice, bread and juice,
He served His friends bread and juice
And shared some special news.

We Love
We love (clap, clap) because God first loved us (repeat)

We love (clap, clap) because God  first  loved  us.

Our Friday Pictures, Hello Spring!

Today we worked puzzles.

We talked about objects that are big and little/large and small, in the class room. Then we drew lines connecting large and small objects.

The class placed a small yellow dot in each circle inside the rectangle.

She traced around the rectangle with a yellow crayon, then colored it yellow.

We made rectangular art work. We applied glue, then placed yellow rectangles of various sizes on top of the glue.

We glued yellow objects on to a small piece of paper. This project is on display on the bulletin board.

We made a necklace. We strung 8 noodles along side the lion and lamb picture.

We placed yellow rectangles on wax paper. Then the wax paper was ironed.

The class used markers to color a SPRING picture.

We pretended to be disciples at the Last Supper. We had a small cup of water. We pretended it was wine. We had an oyster cracker and pretended it was bread.

Marching-fast, slow and all around the room.

We used a mixture of Karo syrup and green water color and painted it inside the outline of a shamrock.

Lunch Time.

This book was enjoyed by the class today.

A couple pages from the book are shown here.

Enjoy the first weekend of Spring.
