Make Way for the King
John 12

Two of Jesus' friends went to look for a donkey. Jesus had told them just where to find it. It would be tied right by the village gate. It was going to be a special donkey. Jesus was going to ride on it. When the friends found the donkey, they took it to Jesus. They put their coats on its back, and Jesus got on it. When the people saw Jesus coming, they began to shout with joy. "Hosanna! Hosanna! Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!" Some people cut branches from the palm trees. They laid the branches on the road. Other people spread their coats on the road, and they all praised God in loud voices for the wonderful things Jesus had done. Jesus rode to the city of Jerusalem. The crowds followed him. The leaders of the people were angry. "See how all the people follow Jesus now? They do not follow us anymore. We must get rid of him," they said.

It was a GREAT Da,y as we Praised God while playing and learning with friends.

We were full of ideas on what things we could make with the play doh: hot dog, snake, bread, pizza and the first letter of our name.

Exploring the classroom toys.

Finger painting...messy but SO MUCH FUN!

A folder game-Hot/Cold

ABC do a dot book.

We connected a dot to make a rectangle.

Shamrock do a dot.

Water play. We added ice cubes to warm water.

The children stamped shamrocks.

We colored 8 candles.

Today our boxes were cars. The children went to Target, Costco and the park. They know these stores well.

We used our scissors to cut palm branches.

Jesus Time-Palm Sunday

This is one of the books I read to the class today.

5 Little Monkeys, this proved to be an exciting and interactive book.

Quite a surprise ending with Momma JUMPING on the BED!

We enjoyed quiet time with a book.

Recess indoors because our grassy area is so muddy.

Then we took a quick walk around campus.

March comes in like a LION.

Weather frog is dressed for a mild day.

We sat and waved the palm branches high and low, fast and slow, passed from hand to hand and waved them as we turned win a circle.

We marched fast. We march slow. We march around the room.
Praise be to God for this wonderful day!
