Bible Story:
Jesus Loves Children
Mark 10:13-16 & Luke 18:15-17
Many people wanted to see Jesus. When Jesus saw how sad they were when the disciples turned them away, He wanted to help them. As the parents brought their children to Him, He said, "Let the little children come to me. You must love and accept God like a little child if you want to enter the kingdom of heaven."

Key Points:
Jesus in our best friend.
He loves us.
He wants us to tell others about His love
He wants us to show this love to those around us.

In closing, I asked the class what they would say to Jesus if they were one of these children in the Bible story. Some of our friends would ask Him to play with them. Others, would ask Jesus to sing with them or read a book to them. Several of them said they would tell Jesus that they love Him.

Spin Art-heart making.

Seems like it's heavy!

Contact paper and tissue paper make an excellent craft and a great piece of window art.

Round and round we spin it.

The contact paper is sticky.

The friends in PDO strung 7 noodles on the yarn, making a great looking necklace.

Playing with a friend is the best way to go.

We share God's love by making a Valentine for a loved one.

After hearing the story of the Gingerbread man, the class decorated their own gingerbread boy or girl.

Boys and their toy vehicles.

We made Valentines for special people in our lives. We did this by placing some of our favorite stickers on a pre-cut card.

These were the featured books today.

Our Jesus board.

Our Bible story.

Indoor recess.

Folder games-matching Valentine cards.

We sorted hearts by color. Some students wanted to sort them by size and color, and that worked too.

We placed circular colored stickers on our Bible story handout; "For God So Loved the World" heart design.

We tried tossing beanbags into heart cutouts. It is harder than it looks.

We enjoyed playing together. We truly are, Friends in Christ.
