11-6

Marvelous Monday!

Welcome back I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend. The children and I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures and learning a little bit about their day.

New Center - Car Wash, Parking Garage and cars/trucks.

Music...some of our favorite songs to sing and dance to.

New Fall magnetic pieces. Children expanded their knowledge of the Fall season. They worked as a team with classmates. They learned to share and take turns.

Tape 'n Water color art. This will be our lobby display.
New dress up hats and costumes.

Geo boards and rubber bands -  It was hard for little fingers to stretch the rubber bands. Once they got the hang of it they were proud of their work.

A plastic sieve was a good base for flower arranging. Perhaps we have some future florists in the making. The activity promotes fine motor skills and artistic development.

Cross is our shape for the month. The children matched and patterned crosses according to color. Skills used math, critical thinking and fine motor.

Fine motor, language skills and math skills were used.

The girls and boys are learning to fasten. This is not a easy skill to master but it is an important one.
Math and fine motor skills used here as ELP students matched like colors with a clothes pin.

Last week we heard the story of the 10 Lepers. We learned to seek God through prayer. We learned that God answers our prayers. We should thank  and praise God for answered prayers. Even if it's not the way we wanted the prayer answered.
This week we are thankful for our food. This blessing helps our minds and bodies grow.
Each child pulled a piece of "food" from the grab bag and attempted to name the food. Some were able to classify the food. Finally, each child told the class if they liked or disliked the food. Language/science skills.
Books for the day.  Language and Social/emotional skills being developed here.
Recess. Look at all the fun we had. Large motor development.

After recess, we went for a quick walk in the Early Ed building; looking for crosses. We found quite a few. Math/language.

We used brown paint to stamp 4 squirrels - math.

New in the room, building with ladders. Math and Science

Adding leaves to the trees.
Placing candles on the cake. Drawing teeth in the crocodile's mouth. Fine motor and awareness of our world/science.
