11-1

ALL SAINTS DAY
During our weekend services, (Sat. 5pm, Sun. 8am/ 10:30am),  Zion will remember and honor those individuals that have passed away during the past year through photos and through songs/prayers all those individuals who are deceased.

Our day began with folder games and bubble wrap.  The children develop critical thinking skills when they match or categorize objects. This activity also develops fine motor skills - 1 to 1 correspondence as children pick up each piece and place that piece correctly.

Popping bubble wrap strengthens finger muscles.

Our friends are playing in small groups now instead of by themselves or parallel play which was more the norm at the start of the year.

Building with blocks. Today we built forts.
Daubers were used to fill in circles that formed the face of a Jack - O - Lantern. While doing this, We conversed about their adventures on Halloween night. It sounds like our ELP friends had an enjoyable experience however they spent the evening.

On the magnetic board children discovered objects that could be orange; expanding their knowledge of the world around them while improving oral language skills as the children discussed their ideas.
 Building with wooden block.
Painting a Halloween picture.
The class used blue tape to mark off the shapes of trees. Next the boys and girls painted the entire paper using water colored paints in fall colors. Finally, the tape will be removed, revealing the outline of trees.

We found the 1st initial of our 1st name and placed it on the magnet board.
This is the last day for the Halloween mixture in Halloween table. Next time the students will find gourds.

Balancing the scale using markers and crayons. They used/learned words like heavy/light, balancing and more/less while trying to balance the buckets.

 Books for today.
Yes, we did go outside and will do so on most days. The children need to be dressed for the weather. We will use the Commons on days it's raining or when temps as below 33 degrees. The time will be shorter, (10 min.) if it's very windy or in the lower temperature range, While they can run in the Commons, it's just not the same. They rest much better when they've been outside.

Girls and boys are learning to recognize their 1st name.
Building a fort.

Our art easel is well loved.
 Bible story coloring sheet...10 Lepers.

God's blessing to all.
