Zion's Parents Day Out

8-21

Total Eclipse of the Sun. I hope you got to see it. My assistants and I took turns during nap to catch a glimpse of it. In ELP we had a flannel board story of what was going to happen and then after nap we made a craft sheet of the eclipse. We also sang a song to Frere Jacques.
The Song
Solar eclipse, solar eclipse
Happened today, happened today
The moon blocked out the sun
The moon blocked out the sun
It happened to day, it happened today

What's going on in ELP, check it out!

Buses mean school is starting. Students can use their imaginations and interact with each other as bus drivers and passengers. Little people help our friends build their fine motor skills as they place the people in the buses.

Puzzles incorporate thinking shills and hand eye coordination.
The white board and chalk board allow students to be creative as they draw and make masterpieces.
Placing blue "flowers" on the pole helps with coordination and in learning the color blue.
Learning concepts for the month of Aug. Color, shape, number,  alphabet, numbers and prepositions.
