8-16

Parents we had a WONDERFUL 1st day of school. The children were a joy to work and play with. They played with each other, used kind words and loving hands. The boys and girls were very engaged in the class activities. These activities included puzzles, musical toys, play doh, house keeping (play food, dishes, phones etc), book nook, school bus and little people large building blocks career hats for dress-up, bead maze and a shape sorter.
During music time we sang several songs. At Jesus time we discussed fathers, our earthly fathers and our heavenly father-God. We also talked about God's son Jesus. We know that Jesus is our Lord and Savior. He WILL keep us SAFE. He is OUR FRIEND. We played outside: riding toys, bubbles, rock pit etc. Inside, along with the above mentioned activities we enjoyed story time and a memory game called 1 2 3 look and see what's missing. Three objects were placed on the magnet plate. One was removed and the class had to guess what  farm animal picture was missing. These children are sharp; I couldn't trick them!!!! We also enjoyed the flannel board with farm fresh vegetables and the large magnetic board with objects related to farming.
FYI, the class as a whole ate well and napped well. What an excellent was to start the school year.

Blessings!
