2-22

We are on a roll; another great day in ELP A.
Mrs. Howard was our substitute TA. She will be with us until Mrs. Burke returns. She was a natural with the children and they loved her too.
Enjoying a good book.
Coloring a boy and girl - Children worship God.
Students took turns drawing on the chalk and white boards.
Water bubbles and duckies made for an exciting sensory table.

Various shades of blue play doh was cut, modeled, rolled and squeezed.
ELP boys and girls added blue poms, ribbons, stickers and  fabric to our Big Blue Square.

Enjoying our classroom toys.
Developing our love for books. So far these girls and boys handle our books with tender loving care.

It's almost filled in.
These large blocks were used quite a bit today. They boys and girls built towers, learning along the way,  how to build a strong base and how to stack them to make the tallest tower possible. They also compared how tall they were to the various towers. Vocab words like bigger/smaller were used and we introduced taller/shorter to them.
The shape sorter helps foster fine motor development, hand eye coordination and shape recognition.
These 2 toys are tools that develop thinking skills and fine motor skills.

During Jesus Time we continued learning about objects we see in church and how these aid in our worship.

The class dressed Weather Frog for a rainy day.
We are learning to line up. WOW what a nice line.
This is the first time for a walk around campus.Today we walked around the elementary school and through the hallways to the Commons where we had recess. The playground was too wet.
We played with hula hoops, balls, scooters and had running races. FUN, FUN, FUN!

Magnetic board features farm life and flannel board features a vegetable garden.
Painting with blue paint - things that can be blue.
Art is displayed in our hallway.

In addition to singing songs we also practiced marching.
Books of the day.
This group would LOVE to have parents and/or grandparents help pray for our school,  children, families,  teachers, staff and church workers. This is NOT a weekly commitment, so come when you can or as often as you can. Meet other Zion families. Thanks in advance for your help and prayers.

Several GOOD reasons to expose young children to ART.

Have a blessed and restful evening.
