10-19

Today we explored.....
We used crayons to color a picture of Abraham. The children enjoyed playing with the classroom toys. Water color paints and Q-tips were used to make leaves for the tree in our room. The students took time to relax and look at books from the class library. Boys and girls used various textured materials and glued them on a pumpkin. These decorative pumpkins are on display on the bulletin board in the classroom. The BIG activity today was placing orange circles on a pole. The circles were made by slicing an orange swimming noodle. Each child used an orange marker and colored pictures of things that could be orange. It is their own orange book to take home and enjoy. Wow, right outside our classroom window we saw a fire truck. It was here as an in-house field trip for Ps-Kdg classrooms. We sat outside to watch and listen to the firemen. The book of the day was The Milky Way. My PDO friends enjoyed the nice weather and had a blast playing outside on the playground. The girls and boys matched big circles by color. Each child counted to 3 as they placed 3 stars on #3. My friends had an opportunity to match 3 stars by color. We made a Bible craft that will be displayed in the hallway. The day came to a close by watching a video of the Bible story, Father Abraham and singing the song by the same name. Enjoy viewing our day!
