12-11

 Play doh and seasonal cutters.

 Puzzles of various themes.

Colored chalk on the easel.
Designing a Christmas stocking.  The children are so proud of their work.
Christmas books are available to the children, including secular and religious.
The children love to draw and express themselves through art.
The box top is a Christmas tree. Small square holes are cut and the children place poms in these squares and push them through as a small motor activity. Some children are able to match the poms to the same colored square and then push them through. As with the majority of our activities I try to simplify or increase the difficulty of each activity based on each child's ability when ever possible.

 Portfolio work.

Are you taller of shorter than an elf.
Make note, check the Parent Communicator folder with the activities and dates. ELP has invited parents and family to a Christmas devotional in the church Sanctuary on TUESDAY 12-18. at 8am.  As you can see we practiced in the sanctuary.

We also checked out signs of Advent around the church and school.

We stopped by the 1st grade room and met Mrs. Bernhardt. She showed us around and gave us a candy cane.
Numerals 1 to 5. We are learning the names of these letters.
It was a nice day to be outdoors.

 Trim the tree.

 Books of the day.

This info is also found on the board right outside our room. Not only does this event support our school but it's also a BLAST! Make plans to attend; get your table together now. There is a limited amount of tables so don't delay; they go quickly.
