12-10
2nd week in Advent
The Peace candle.

The Advent wreath, four candles on a wreath of evergreen, is shaped in a perfect circle to symbolize the eternity of God. In our church we use 3 blue candles, one for each week of Advent. 1 pink candle. The center white candle is the Christ candle.
The Christ Candle is a symbol reminding us of Christ's promise, "Behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:20 ESV). Traditionally burned during Advent.

This week we light the 2nd candle of Advent which is blue in color and is called the Peace candle. Like the peace that passes all understanding.  As we light this candle, we celebrate the ultimate peace that we have in Jesus Christ, the peace of eternal life.

 Nativity match.
