2-3

Today we discussed that Groundhog's Day took place yesterday I showed a few pictures to the class and gave a short discussion about Ground Hog's day. I  introduced the color, shape and number for the month. Color=pink, Shape=heart, and Number=7. The Bible story for this week is: Jesus Calls the Disciples. I explained to the class that Jesus called men from all walks of life. The children learned that Jesus calls us too. We are to tell others to follow Jesus' teachings. The children were exposed to the following. These words are: "Jesus loves you." "He died for us." Jesus wants us to be His disciples and we discussed who we could disciple. We sang Go Ye.

GO YE
Go ye go ye into the world
And make disciples of all the nations
Go ye go ye into the world
And I will be with you there

A few children asked "Who is GOYE?" I explained VERY simply that GO YE means GO YOU. That seemed to be enough. Several children thought of people that they could share this message with. They were eager to tell others all about Jesus.
Phrases they thought of were:
 God's Blessings
 Jesus Loves You
Jesus died on the cross to save us
God sent Jesus
Jesus will take us to heaven
These statements confirm that The Holy Spirit is present in their lives!
