10-3A

This has been an exciting week of learning in PDO. The boys and girls are very good at retelling the beginning of Noah's story. I have enjoyed watching their growth since the start of the school year. It has been amazing. It is wonderful to watch them share and take turns with their fellow classmates. It is also a blessing to hear them apologize after they have made a mistake. While the apology is short and simple it is also VERY heartfelt. Myself, Mrs. Burke, Mrs Koenig and Mrs. McBroom want to thank each of you for your support and most importantly for allowing us to teach and care for your child. Next Monday we will begin exploring new concepts for the month of October. Enjoy the weekend.

This is what we did today.

We played with the arks and tried to match the animals 2 by 2 just like Noah did.

We painted an animal picture.

These girls made a great Fall picture on the magnetic board.

It is fun to draw a chalk picture.

We used red and blue play doh create some interesting animals.

Jesus Time

We sang 2 songs WHO BUILT THE ARK and SAIL, SAIL, SAIL THE ARK.

We have our October books on the bookcase, YIPEE! We enjoyed looking at new books.

Each child chose a book for me to read. Every child waited their turn and listened quietly to the stories chosen by their classmates.

Today the children searched for creatures in the sand. Lobsters, turtles, snakes and lady bugs were just a few of the creatures that were discovered.

Indoor recess in RM B.

We used magnifying glasses and tweezers to help us examine these creatures.

We finished our apple centers and used this poster to review what we learned about apples. We sang this song to the tune of B I N G O.

This was a book that I read to the class. It was about activities that Little Bear enjoyed doing with his parents. These special times made little Bear very happy.

That concludes our day.
