10-13A

Families,
It was so nice to see many of you at the Harvest Party! I enjoyed the evening and I hope all of you did too.
The Bible story for this week:
When the last animal climbed into the boat,  God shut the door. Plip! Plop! Plip! It began to rain. It rained so much, the water was over the meadows. It rained so much, it covered the towns. It rained so much, it even covered the mountains. But, inside the boat, everyone was safe. Genesis 7:16-24.
Thus far we have learned that God wants us to obey him. God keeps us safe. I would encourage you to read this story at home. Try leaving out some of the information or ask questions as you go along. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how much information your child has gleaned from this story.

These are the activities that were available to your child today.

Today the students experienced new items in the sensory table. Dried corn, gourds and dried corn on the cob. The children examined large/small gourds and smooth/bumpy gourds. We were surprised the gourds were so colorful. The girls and boys used their fingers or the tweezers to pick kernels of corn off of the cob. This activity was especially good for fine motor development.

We started the day playing with toys in the classroom.

The class took turns making animal matches.

We painted a tiger orange.

It's fun to use our imagination while playing with the princessess and the castle.

The girls used the cube to match shapes.

This child stamped circles for the bulletin board display.

We are making a mural of the Noah's Ark Bible story.

The animals marched into the ark in pairs.

The children played their 1st memory game in PDO. Of course, it was animal memory. Not bad for our 1st time.

Our Bible story.

The Jesus Time board.

These are the books that were read to the class today.

The PDO children had fun recalling the story of Noah while they played with magnetic pieces depicting the story.

A-B-A pattern stamping, using a pumpkin and scarecrow stamp.

Due to rainy weather we enjoyed an indoor recess in the commons complete with hula hoops and soft balls.

We have completed our pumpkin patch.

Pairing the animals 2x2.

A-B-A pattern using red and green apples.

We had a GREAT day in PDO!
