11-2

This week in addition to our Bible story "Samuel Hears a Voice," we are learning about Martin Luther and the Reformation. Next week, we will start our Thanksgiving Bible lessons. We will talk about blessings and what we are thankful for: homes (toys furniture cars etc.)/family, church, food. In addition to homes/Family, I will briefly talk about All Saints Day. Bible verses applicable to giving thanks will be shared and finger plays and songs will enhance our knowledge of giving thanks.

Basic learning concepts for November: color=brown, shape=cross, number=four and preposition=in/out, Jesus Time=Samuel hear a Voice and Thankfulness.

We started the day creating designs on the light table.

 Resting on the climber.
Boys playing with the fire trucks.

 Working the bead maze.

Threading a needle through the holes of a pumpkin.
Stringing four colored noodles on a string. Four is the number for Nov.

Animal sorting by kind, color and size.
 Folder game sequencing.

The Bible story, SAMUEL HEARS A VOICE IN THE NIGHT. We need to listen for God"s voice too. He calls us to tell others all about here.

 Books.

 Outside time.

On a campus walk we stopped to play in the bobcat pit.

Stopping to examine a tree. We noticed that the green leaves had change color, We saw red, orange and brown leaves. Some leaves had fallen to the ground. Now the words Fall/Autumn have more meaning for us.

We enjoyed rolling down a hill. Rolling was challenging for some. Still fun.
