The Amazing Catch of Fish/Breakfast on the Beach-John 21:1-14

Over the next few days, Jesus appeared to His disciples and many others and showed them He really was alive again. Peter and a group of disciples were out fishing in their boat. Early the next morning, Jesus came to see them and stood on the shore. He was faraway, so they did not recognize Him.
"Haven't you caught any fish?" He shouted to the fishermen. "No!" said Peter. "Then throw your net on the other side of the boat," said Jesus, "and you will catch plenty!" Then the men did as He said and sure enough, their nets were filled to the bursting point with fresh fish.

"It's Jesus!" said Peter. Peter and the others knew that only God could do something so amazing. They knew Jesus was the Lord. Jesus had made a small fire on the shore to cook some of the fish. He had some bread for them too. His disciples came and sat with Him and ate breakfast on the beach. It was wonderful to be with the Lord Jesus again!

Major points for Children:
Sin pushes us away (or separates us) from God.
Jesus comes and finds us.
He forgives us, and puts us back together with God.
He gives us purpose (or things to do).
Jesus continually reminds us of His power, love and forgiveness even when we have forgotten Him.

I Will Make You Fishers of Men

Written by: Harry D. Clarke, Copyright: Unknown

I will make you fishers of men,
Fishers of men, fishers of men.
I will make you fishers of men,
If you follow Me.

If you follow Me,
If you follow Me,
I will make you fishers of men,
If you follow Me.

Go Ye:

1. Go ye, go ye into the world, and make disciples of all the nations.
Go ye, go ye into the world, and I will be with you there!

2. Go ye, go ye into the world, and take the gospel to all the people.
Go ye, go ye into the world, and I will be with you there!

3. Go ye, go ye into the world, and tell the story to all believers.
Go ye, go ye into the world, and I will be with you there!

Fished All Night and Caught No Fishes

Fished all night and caught no fishes. (3x)
Out on the deep blue seas.
Then came Jesus walking on the water. (3x)
Out on the deep blue sea.
Cast your nets on the other side. (3x)
Out on the deep blue sea.
Then their nets were filled with fishes. (3x)
Out on the deep blue sea

What did we do in PDO today?

 We connected linking fish.
We played with toys.

It's fun to play with the bus.

The children filled in circles, inside an oval, using a purple dabber.

The class counted and colored nine fish.

She made a fishing net full of fish.

The girls stamped the first letter of their first name.

Our friends enjoyed sharing the castle.

The children worked together to build a structure, using foam blocks.

LOOK, what we made. Now that's cooperation.

The class sorted ovals by size, large/small.

The students connected the dots, making a oval.

Fun times were had as the class explored and played in the sensory table.

We used dry chalk to color the Bible story.

We dipped the chalk in water and made a wet chalk design.

We worked on completing the mural.

We had lots of fun using the play doh.

We sang the song-Read, Read the Bible. That's how we started Jesus Time.

The disciples went fishing.

They didn't catch any fish.

Jesus told them to throw the nets on the other side. THEY CAUGHT LOTS OF FISH!

This book was about the rainy season of Spring.

April showers.....

Bring this!

And this too!

This book was about 3 friends playing catch. The problem-snake was armless.

How could he play the game?

This wasn't a workable solution.

Oh, now that works!

Our Bible story.

We enjoyed books.

We played in the Commons.

The girls and boys took turns using the magnetic board.

We placed 2 slices of bread and 3 fish on our sheet of paper, to remind us of how Jesus fed the
disciples.

We had recess outside on the playground.

We made an ABA pattern using rabbits.

What's inside the purple oval?

Each child chose an item and described it.

Now you know, what we did in PDO today.
