CHRIST IS RISEN!
HE IS RISEN INDEED! ALLELUIA!

A Big Surprise-Matt. 28:1-10 and Luke 24:9-12

Very early on Sunday morning, the first day of the week, the women went back to the tomb. It was the third day since Jesus died. When the women got there, they couldn't believe their eyes. The stone was rolled away! An angel of the Lord was sitting on the stone. The soldiers were frightened. The angel said, "Don't be afraid. Jesus is alive." The women were happy! They ran to find other friends of Jesus. They told everyone that Jesus was alive! He had risen from death.

What we are learning:
Jesus had died on the cross and was buried in a tomb.
That Sunday some women came to visit His tomb.
The tomb was empty!
An angel said that Jesus was alive!
Mary Magdalene saw Jesus alive!
Jesus is alive!
Jesus provided eternal life for us.

Songs:

This Is The Day

This is the day (This is the day)
That the LORD hath made (That the LORD hath made.)
I will rejoice (I will rejoice)
And be glad in it (and be glad in it)
This is the day that the LORD hath made
I will rejoice and be glad in it!
This is the day,
This is the day, that the LORD hath made

Do You Know Who Died For ME

Do you know who rose for me Jesus did, Jesus did
Lovingly He rose for me
Yes He really did

Oh You Can't Keep Jesus Love in a Box

Oh you can't keep Jesus shut in the grave, shut in the grave, shut in the grave
Oh you can't keep Jesus shut in the grave, cuz His love will come a bubbling through

ALLELU

Allelu, allelu, allelu, alleluia
Praise ye the Lord.
Allelu, allelu, allelu, alleluia
Praise ye the Lord.
Praise ye the Lord, alleluia
Praise ye the Lord, alleluia
Praise ye the Lord, alleluia
Praise ye the Lord.

Thursday was filled with lots of activities.  See for yourself and enjoy the pics.

We had so much fun playing outside today.

Now this is team work! It's so nice to see the children interact with each other in a positive way. Friendships are forming; how wonderful.

Peekaboo.

It's fun to ride on the worm.

Friends in Christ.

These girls seem to be enjoying the rock pit.

Cute tummy.

He is Risen. Our Bible story this week is The Ressurection of our Lord Jesus.

We started the Bible story with a review of Holy Week. Wow, the children are fantastic at remembering the stories from Holy Week! The story of Easter was presented. Alleluia shakers were played. We prayed. Then I held up crosses and asked individual student to name the color of the cross and also state the size of the cross (big/large, little/small).

A book that I read to the class during snack.

This is the book I used for the Bible story.

I also read this book to the class during snack.

Sharing a book with a friend is very enjoyable.

We did some patterning with green and yellow ovals.

Jesus in Risen was the Bible story handout for today. We added some color to it by choosing a dabber to fill in the circles.

Time for toys.

Looks like the boys are enjoying building a structure together.

The stroller brigade.

We matched eggs by the design on them.

The girls got creative with the play doh.

Lacing is hard work.

The sensory table allowed the students to create Easter eggs by placing egg halves together. They placed like colored halves together or match two different colored halves together, as long as the halves were the same size. They used the magnifying glasses to examine the grass and the chennile chicks. Tweezers were used to pick up chicks and the grass.

We made an egg by matching colored halves.

We completed letters O and P in the Alphabet book.

We worked together to create a Spring/Easter mural.

We used purple reinforcers to count to nine.

We played a folder game by separating pictures cards into 2 categories; foods and nonfoods.

Classmates at play.

Here is a closer look at the folder game.

The PDO children worked puzzles.

We colored a picture of the empty tomb.

Today we explored musical instruments.

Thursday was a busy day in Rm A.
