Zion's Parents Day Out

Tuesday, August 25, 2015

8-25

The day started as the children got creative with play doh. Then they discovered the classroom toys. I saw many children interacting with each other. and sharing toys. This week the featured Bible story comes from Genesis1. We discovered that God was very busy as He created light and darkness on the first day. Then God created sky and water on the second day. Everything God made was out of love for us. We know that-IT WAS GOOD! We also learned a song about the first two days of Creation. The children began a making a Creation book. Other activities included working puzzles, finding blue items in the sensory table. Several children were able to use large plastic tweezers to pick up the objects, Bravo! The boys and girls had an opportunity to try their hand at tracing a square using a blue marker, designing a collage made of  large and small blue squares, singing and dancing to some of our favorite songs, playing outside (bubble machine,  tending the garden, playing in the sand/water table), learning to march to the music, looking at books, listening to a BIG book story entitled Cat and Mouse and finally finger painting with blue paint.

As you can see, it was a busy day in PDO!
