11-13

Welcome back! We hope everyone had a restful weekend and took time to attend worship and a Bible study. We can talk about worshiping in the class setting, but of course it is a parent's responsibility to instruct, set the example of regular worship and the study of God's word in the Bible, that really makes a difference in a child's life. Hard to do at times, I know. But it makes such a positive difference in the household when we walk faithfully with the Lord.

Monday's Picture Blog.

Play doh and seasonal cutters. The children enjoy rolling, patting and cutting the doh.
This is one of the most popular centers.

To strengthen small muscles in the hand, the girls and boys placed Q-Tips in the holes of the spice jar.
Each jar represents 2 colors of leaves. 1. orange/green and 2.Red/brown. The class took turns sorting leaves by color.

Boys and girls continue to color pages in their Thankful books. They know that all blessings come from God .Children are learning quite a bit about how much they have to be thankful for. Last week we were thankful for Food and Shelter, (homes). The children have a basic understanding of not just home but pets, toys, vehicle, clothing, furniture, neighbors etc.
Pipe cleaners in the colander. Just another way to develop fine motor skills. So if your child says all they did was play GREAT!. Play is their work. Through their play they truly are growing emotionally, physically, academically, and most importantly spiritually.
The children practiced tracing a cross, using a template.

Sensory wall was very intriguing to these boys.
The students used a stylist to scratch off the top layer and reveal a multicolored layer.

 Working dressing beds.

Your children painted a fall leaf. They leaves will decorate the "tree" in our room. This visual aid help young children better understand the 4 seasons.

The class used patterning cards to create and extend patterns.

Read, read, read the Bible and we did. Today, we thanked and praised God for the gift of house, furnishing and of course family. On Wed. church and school will be added to our list of Thanksgiving.

The children came up lots of good ideas of things to be thankful for.
Outdoor play. It is good to send hats and mittens. Mittens are easier for children and teachers to put on. Part of our responsibility is to assist children in dressing themselves, leading up to dressing themselves completely.. They really struggle with gloves. Also, if outerwear is pullover make sure it is roomy enough.

Sensory table aids in fine motor, math, science and language development.

The linking people helps us ID our family members.

 Fall leaf stamping.

To end our morning, we experimented with lotion.
Book Of Brown was read at story time. Then the class tried to name other things that could be brown.
Jesus Time story. This book tells of God's love for us. Then it talks about how God blesses us.

Skin, pulp and seeds in both the gourd and pumpkin. We talked about the importance of all 3.

The children used their words to compare the pumpkin and gourd stem.

Trolls dance music to close out the day.
