CHRIST IS RISEN!
HE IS RISEN INDEED! ALLELUIA!

A Big Surprise-Matt. 28:1-10 and Luke 24:9-12

Very early on Sunday morning, the first day of the week, the women went back to the tomb. It was the third day since Jesus died. When the women got there, they couldn't believe their eyes. The stone was rolled away! An angel of the Lord was sitting on the stone. The soldiers were frightened. The angel said, "Don't be afraid. Jesus is alive." The women were happy! They ran to find other friends of Jesus. They told everyone that Jesus was alive! He had risen from death.

What we are learning:
Jesus had died on the cross and was buried in a tomb.
That Sunday some women came to visit His tomb.
The tomb was empty!
An angel said that Jesus was alive!
Mary Magdalene saw Jesus alive!
Jesus is alive!
Jesus provided eternal life for us.

Songs:

This Is The Day

This is the day (This is the day)
That the LORD hath made (That the LORD hath made.)
I will rejoice (I will rejoice)
And be glad in it (and be glad in it)
This is the day that the LORD hath made
I will rejoice and be glad in it!
This is the day,
This is the day, that the LORD hath made

Do You Know Who Died For ME

Do you know who rose for me Jesus did, Jesus did
Lovingly He rose for me
Yes He really did

Oh You Can't Keep Jesus Love in a Box

Oh you can't keep Jesus shut in the grave, shut in the grave, shut in the grave
Oh you can't keep Jesus shut in the grave, cuz His love will come a bubbling through

ALLELU

Allelu, allelu, allelu, alleluia
Praise ye the Lord.
Allelu, allelu, allelu, alleluia
Praise ye the Lord.
Praise ye the Lord, alleluia
Praise ye the Lord, alleluia
Praise ye the Lord, alleluia
Praise ye the Lord.

Sensory table
Musical instruments and songs
Color, shape and number for April
Folder games
Puzzles
Patterning with bunnies
Time for Books
Tracing an oval
Painting purple

This is how we spent the day.

We played outside today. We enjoy watching our neighbors water the grass. We watched dogs play. Some of us dug for worms. Others watched closely as a big ant crawled up the shed. Surely, God created an amazing world for us to enjoy.

Look at me!

Digging in the rock pit.

Talking with friends.

Climbing.

We worked puzzles.

We used a Q-tip to paint a purple picture.

We used markers to color an Easter egg. Eggs are ovals.

Time for toys.

We used the shakers today. Be sure to pick up an Alleluia shaker this weekend as you enter the sanctuary for worship.

The sensory table allowed the students to create Easter eggs by placing egg halves together. They placed like colored halves together or match two different colored halves together, as long as the halves were the same size. They used the magnifying glasses to examine the grass and the chennile chicks. Tweezers were used to pick up chicks and the grass.

We used a purple crayon to trace a dot to dot number oval.

We used the legos to build a cool structure. 3 friends at play.

It's fun to ride on the rocking horse.

The girls enjoyed playing with the circus train.

We chose an Easter cross to paint.

This is a folder game. We catagorized pictures into 2 groups-foods and nonfoods.

We made a Spring mural.

Outside we worked in groups of 3 to complete a folder game. We divided pictures into 2 groups. Things that can and can't be washed.

We patterned blue and green bunnies.

We looked at various instruments and how they are played. We learned the names of the instruments.

We loved playing the instruments.

Weather frog is dressed for a warm, sunny day.

Our Bible story book.

These are some of the pages from the book.

This book was read to the class today.

That concludes our day and week. Have a great weekend.
