Zion's Parents Day Out

Friday, December 15, 2017

Our Thursday began with dance music to Tooty Ta, Freeze Dance and If Your a Kid Dance Around.
These songs help us move to the beat of the music, helps too with self regulation, (girls move/ boys freeze) and develops spacial awareness.

Magnets are a delight to work with. It helps with sharing the pieces and board with friends.

What's this...2 elves visiting us. I hope the classmates have been good.
ELP at play. This is how children learn at this age...naturally.

Matching colored discs reinforces the concept of same/different and color names.

The purpose of the Bible story coloring page was to highlight the part of the Bible story where angels announce to the shepherds the birth of Christ.
 Gingerbread rubbings.

Retelling the story of Rudolph using finger puppets.

Tracing triangles and drawing a triangle on their own. Way to go boys and girls.
Fine art exploration through musical instruments.

Folder games: colors, shapes and sizes.
Green play doh. The children modeled, rolled, cut, shaped by hand and used cookie cutters.

Shape awareness/visual discrimination. Matching cookie cutters to shapes on the board. Not as easy for young children as one might think.
Our Bible story was viewed on the monitor today.

We worked on large motor shills and ran off some extra energy today; while having lots of fun in the Commons.

The girls and boys stacked green carton sections on sticks in order to make a Christmas tree.

The 1st step in making an angel. These are displayed in our class room.

Story of the day.
This is what the devotional presentation will look like on Tuesday.
An invitation reminder.

Today was rough. The children are under the weather in addition to being VERY tired. As a staff we are praying for a return to good health.
