The Bible story:

Now Mary loved a man named Joseph. They were going to be married. One day Joseph had to take a trip to the city of Bethlehem. So Mary went with him. The city of Bethlehem was far away. Mary rode on the back of a donkey and Joseph walked beside them.

During Jesus Time we talked about Advent, the Hope candle and the Bible story. We learned that Joseph had to be counted. Since Mary was expecting a baby, she rode on a donkey. We now know that the donkey will make an appearance in more than one Bible story. Today we saw the donkey as Mary and Joseph traveled to Bethlehem. We will learn about another donkey when we hear the story of Palm Sunday.

It was a declared a Girls Only day in RMA. We had 4 girls and no boys. Several children were sick and we pray for a speedy return to health. We missed our classmates.
The cross wall is complete and looks fantastic.

These are the books that were read to the girls today.

We looked for green objects in the table. The girls named the object and told something about the item found.

Taking care of my baby.

We decorated a felt Christmas tree.

I enjoyed playing with the trains.

The tree looks so good.

Each girl made an ornament.

Glitter was brushed on the tree. They chose red or gold glitter. As group they decided both colors of glitter was needed for the tree.

Sequins and stickers were also used.

They enjoyed looking at books.

We counted 5 items and placed them on number 5.

Let's play house.

We decorated a Christmas tree by applying foam stickers to the circular areas of the tree.

Let's get ready for Jesus Time.

We played in the Commons.

Balls are fun.

Rest time.

Sharing a hug.

3 friends at play.

We painted a donkey.

We used markers to color our Bible story.

Our Christmas tree.

We used colored noodles to make a garland for our tree.

We enjoyed our time together. Stay healthy and have a wonderful weekend. May your weekend worship fill you with the true meaning of this Advent season.
