12-10

The Bible story this week comes from Luke 2:1-20.

So Mary and Joseph went to their hometown, Bethlehem. The town was full of people. There was no place for them to stay. At last an innkeeper allowed them to stay in his stable, where the animals were kept. It was here that Jesus was born. They wrapped him in clothes and laid him in a manger, the place where the animals were fed. That night out in the fields, sleepy shepherds were taking care of their sheep. Suddenly an angel appeared in the sky. The light was so bright, it hurt the shepherds eyes. "Don't be afraid," the angel said. "I have good news for you. A baby was born in Bethlehem. He is your Savior. You will find him lying in the manger." Then the whole sky filled with many angels and they all sang, "Glory to God in heaven!" When the song was over, the angels disappeared.

These centers were available to your child today: toys, kitchen, play doh, books, music, outdoor exploration, decorating a Christmas tree ornament, matching circle on a tree template, dot to dot baby Jesus in the manger, placing circular stickers inside a triangle, white board and markers, shaving cream, sensory table, seasonal number matching game, Christmas picture matching game and decorating a Christmas tree.

Enjoy the pictures.

The day started with play doh.

Time for toys.

It's fun to decorate the felt tree.

I made a Christmas tree ornament.

Hang an ornament on the tree.

Dot to dot manger.

I like to draw on the white board.

I made the Nativity scene on the magnetic board.

Cooperation at its best.

We placed stickers on the circles. The circles were inside the triangle.

Girls at play.

We used foam circles to decorate the tree.

We used crayons to color the manger scene.

I am making a stocking.

Jesus board.
I lit the Peace candle.

I prepared the altar.

The Bible story.

Recess.

We admired our stockings.

Away in a Manager.

We can tear wrapping paper.

We matched numbers.
We matched Christmas pictures.

A new holiday song to sing.

The class enjoyed listening to these books.

Our beautiful hallway.

Our class tree.

That concludes our day.
