2-21

The children and I thank God for the blessings that he gave us today.

Heart tracing.
Magnetic blocks attracted the interest of many children.
Good old colorful wooden blocks were available for children to build with, while providing a contrast to the magnetic blocks.

A variety of puzzles were available for children to work.

Our pink glitter play doh attracted many friends to the table; appealing to several of our senses.
Sometimes a child wants a little quiet time and what better way to do so then with a good book.
What a feast! To add meaning to our Bible story we talked about a special meal to celebrate the bride and groom's marriage.
Seasonal stamps...no guidelines except to share stamps and create a seasonal picture.
The girls and boys are doing a good job of tracing with a template and marker.

ELP children are creating a do a dot ABC book.

Hearts were placed on the magnetic board to reinforce the color and shape for the month of Feb. This activity also taught us some social skills too like sharing and taking turns.

The boys and girls named the number on the paper (7), counted 7 tulips and used markers to color the picture.
5 drums were placed in numerical order. My friends used the drum stick to tap the drum the correct number of times as indicated by the numeral on the drum.
Trains are an option for discovery this week. The children need to figure out how to connect the track, set up the landscape and assemble the train.

The students worked well together as they placed magnetic letters on the trays. One student found letters to form his name, another found the 1st letter of her 1st name and still another placed a few letters on the tray that she recognized. Other students asked Mrs. Barclay to say the name of the letters.
Exploring the sensory table using containers, clothes pins/tweezers, scoops, magnifying glasses and funnels.

 Bride and Groom
Wedding guest.
 A wedding parade
The church as the couple is married
Friends and family attending the service.
Dancing at the reception.

Enjoying a meal but, oh no, all the wine is gone. This is the point where the children learned about Jesus' 1st miracle.

 The story.

 Weather Frog's forecast....COLD and CLOUDY!
 Jesus' first miracle

Dr. Seuss' Bday celebration is coming up so we used story time to hear a couple of stories that he authored

 Commons recess.

Then some play time in RM B.

 Sequential number match.

That concludes our day of learning. These children have a great desire to learn. Please spend time this afternoon and evening engaging in conversation with them, reading to them and strengthening their faith life by attending a Lenten service.
