10-12
The children and I had a very good day. We reviewed the story of Abraham and Sarah, worked play doh, played toys, circle stamping (look for our Circle art in the lobby of our building),. Notice how well the children used the space and how many circles of various sizes they stamped on the paper. Due to the wetness of our playground, we used the Commons for large motor development and then played in Miss Jeri's room for a change of pace. I read the next part of the Bible story to the class and we learned of another example of how God does the impossible and keeps his promises, The birth of Issac will continue next week. The girls and boys listened with interest to a nonfiction book about Fall. They heard 2 short Halloween stories followed by a book about super heroes. The last book I read was an intro to our 1st service project, a school wide project to give children in the hospital, fighting cancer, the opportunity to have a new toy, game, puzzle, or action figure. That way these children can be a super heroes; fighting the cancer inside them. Please consider purchasing a super hero to donate and place it in the box located in the lobby of our building. Each year we do this in memory of Drew A. an ELP child who lost his life to cancer a few short yrs. later. The day concluded with music and movement. Have a blessed week and remember to rest from the week's work by worshiping God. See you next week.
