4-25

Thanks be to God for the wonderful weather we experienced today. It was a super day to play and experience SPRING w/o cold temps and rain. We were able to play outdoors 2 times and enjoyed every minute of it.

The Bible story is the Lost Coin.

From Gateway Bible:

Luke 15:8-10 English Standard Version (ESV)

The Parable of the Lost Coin

“Or what woman, having ten silver coins,[a] if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and seek diligently until she finds it? And when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin that I had lost.’ 10 Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

Footnotes:

  1. Luke 15:8 Greek ten drachmas; a drachma was a Greek coin approximately equal in value to a Roman denarius, worth about a day's wage for a laborer

Textured stampers were used to color a chick with yellow paint . Students love these textured tools.
Bible story: The Lost Coin. Many women wore their precious coins on their headscarves, as a way to keep the coins safe. The children have 9 coins on their headband to remind them of the lost coin and that when we fall away from Jesus he will look for us and bring us back to him.
