Matthew 19, Mark 10, Luke 18
Mothers held their babies as they walked. Boys and girls skipped and hopped down the road. They were happy, they were going to see Jesus. But when they got to the place where Jesus was, Jesus' friends told them to go away. "You cannot come to see Jesus," they said. "He is too busy for children. He has important things to do." Now Jesus found out what his friends were saying. He was angry. "Do not stop the children," he said. "Let them come to me."
Key Points:
Jesus in our best friend.
He loves us.
He wants us to tell others about His love
He wants us to show this love to those around us.
In closing, I asked the class what they would say to Jesus if they were one of these children in the Bible story. Some of our friends would ask Him to play with them. Others, would ask Jesus to sing with them or read a book to them. Several of them said they would tell Jesus that they love Him.
