The Bible story: On the seventh day, God rested.
Through pictures and song, we reviewed the previous days. These children are really catching on to the concept that God made us and our world and IT WAS GOOD!
We had a full day of PDO. We had fun playing in the classroom and outside. God blessed us with great weather. Indoors our activities and centers included: linking fish, manipulating play doh, finishing the Creation book, cooperative poster coloring of Adam and Eve along with the other days of Creation, singing songs, large motor movement, sponge stamping apples, apple ABA patterning and camera frog patterning, painting a tent, making a stick-on mural about the outdoors discussing camping, painting a fall picture, coloring 2 flowers, looking at books/listening to books that I've chosen, and finally hearing God's word about Creation from the Children's Bible.
This was our day...
We started the day with linking the fish together. This activity reminds us that God created fish. It was a good activity for the development of our fine motor skills.
We painted a tent and talked about who we would like to camp with. This activity helped us explore our world and gave us practice expressing our thoughts orally.
The students used stickers to place on the outline of an apple. Then they colored the picture with crayons.
Today we went outside to watch the 8th graders launch the rockets that they constructed during science class.
This is the book I read to the class. The friends built a shelter for the turtles during a rain storm. They didn't realize God had provided the turtles with a hard protective shell
.
The following are notes you should have gotten over the last 2 weeks; if not let me know. This is the Fall Harvest Trunk or Treat Evening.
This is the September Take Home project. It is an opportunity to work on an activity with your child.
I hope you enjoyed viewing our day.
