Here is a look at our day!

Bible Craft this week- It is the school verse for the 2014-15 school year.

These are the books I read to the class today.

We spent time today talking about what activities the children participated in over the summer. These posters gave us some talking points.

This book provided the movements for our large motor development today. Each page provided a picture telling us what body part to shake.

Here is an example.

This is how we played today.

Some of the students enjoyed working puzzles.

We talked about the Bible. It is God's word. We placed a Bible sticker on the blue paper to remind us of this special gift.

The class had the opportunity to use blue finger paint to make a number 1 using their index finger.

We matched popsicle sticks to an outline of a square.

These children painted the Bible verse page using water color paints.

The children stamped 1 flower on a template of #1.

Then they stamped 1's all around the page.

We love to paint, so it was fun to paint a Bluejay blue, of course.

The children really express their creativity when using play doh.

Some students stamped blue squares with the blue square applicator.

We put our finger ON our nose to indicate that we attended church on Sunday. We talked about the various activities that are included in a church service.

Each child pulled a blue item out of the bag. As a class we named it and told others how it is used.

With a blue marker, the class traced around the dotted lines that formed a square.

She applied glue and then sprinkled blue sand on a teddy bear shape.

Sand is rough and scratchy.

Our 10 mins. of outside time. It was fun while it lasted.

The water table was fun and refreshing.

Since it was SO HOT outside we spent time in the Commons, playing with tunnels, balls and hula hoops.

The class tossed blue square bean bags in a blue bucket.

Ring around the Rosie is a favorite of ours.

Lunch Time!

We discussed the color, shape and number for the month. They are super excited to see their art work displayed. We give thanks to Mrs. Derrington for suggesting this idea.
